Two types of portable air conditioning systemss are available, either single units or split systems.
Single Units
We offer air cooled and air and water cooled combined units, both types are instantly recognized by their exhaust hose which is used to expel the hot air to the outside. Single units can cope with a wide range of room requirements. Water/Air cooled units are made by DeLonghi and are very energy efficient (better than “A” rated). However the most popular portable air conditioners are the air cooled type with an exhaust hose and a wall window adapter kit.
Please Note: When buying a single unit portable air conditioning system please check that the exhaust hose will be long enough for your use.
Split Systems
For areas that require a greater capacity we offer a more permanent or semi permanent solution using a split-system where you have an indoor and outdoor unit connected by a a flexible refrigerant line. They are easily recognised by the separate condenser unit that needs to be placed externally. The easy to install DeLonghi Maestro self install system should also be considered if you require both cooling and heating. The Maestro range has the added benefit of having lower internal noise levels.
