This powerful air conditioner is an excellent value unit. It cools at up to 10,000Btu, suitable for rooms up to 25m², and has a timer and thermostatic controls.
The timer allows you to set the unit to turn itself off in a certain time. This means that if you have it on in the bedroom and fall asleep it won't be left running all night.
A thermostatic controller enables you to set the desired temperature you wish to cool a room to and once that temperature is reached the unit will switch itself off. Once the temperature rises a few degrees above the set point, the unit will reactivate itself. This maintains a comfortable room temperature without wasting energy by over-cooling a room.
The air conditioner has two speeds for maximum cooling or quieter operation. It can also be used as just a simple fan to assist in air movement.
A remote control allows you to adjust the temperature, fan speed, mode of operation, timer and turn the unit on and off.
Adjustable louvres enable you to direct the cool air precisely where you need it and its smooth glide castors make it easy to move around and position.
The hot air is expelled through a rear hose. This hose has a square ended fitting to enable it to be positioned through a slightly opened window, door or even a cat-flap.
Two thick foam blanking plates come with the unit, through which the hose can be positioned to prevent warm air from entering through the slight gap in the window.
Moisture that condenses inside the unit and builds-up during the cooling process is evaporated through the extraction hose. However, occasionally enough moisture may build-up within the unit for manual emptying to be required. This is done very easily with the water container provided.
Also supplied with the unit is a plastic hose for those who wish to fix a permanent drain and a wall fitting with cover for anyone wanting to permanently fit the extract hose to a hole through a wall.
